Apple and Cucumber Smoothie
2 Apples – cored and chopped
1/2 Cucumber – scrubbed and chopped
1 medium Avocado – pitted and rough chopped
1 sprig fresh Parsley
1tsp Raw Honey
1.Mix Everything in a high speed blender with a small handful of ice to cool it down.
*Some variations on this:
-Parsley can be a strong flavor, so start with one sprig and add more from there. It’s great for helping your body clear out toxins, which is nice this time of year!
-Depending on the blender you have the skins of the apple and cucumber may leave your smoothie feeling chunky. If you can’t handle chunky, peel both the apples and cucumber and consume the peels outside of the smoothie so you still get the benefit of the great amount of fiber they contain.
-The good fats in the avocado will help you feel full longer, so this is not like your run of the mill fruit smoothie leaving you hungry 10 minutes later!
-There are many pros and cons about raw honey, so use what makes you feel the most comfortable. I like raw for the immune boosting benefits that it contains!
